Protect your eyes for better health
Summer is rapidly approaching, and everyone is eager to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. However, spending too much time in the sun can cause an increase in macular degeneration, the number one cause of vision loss among older people. Macular degeneration leads to opaque deposits on the retina, which limits your vision. There are very few treatments for this condition.
Luckily, it’s easy to reduce your risk for this ailment. Just make sure that you protect your eyes when you go outside: wear a hat, or better yet, wear sunglasses. Make sure that you choose sunglasses that block at least 99% of UVB rays, and at least 95% of UVA rays. These small steps can make a big difference later on!

2. Getting plenty of rest helps to give your eyes a break and time to refresh.
3. Exercising helps to improve your blood circulation which ensures that your eyes are getting enough oxygen.
4. Drinking 12 glasses of water a day will eliminate the puffiness that may appear around your eyes.
5. Always protect your eyes from the sun at the peak time of day. Excessive sun-rays can cause serious damage to your eyes.
