Introducing our new practice manager!
What a summer it’s been! My name is Rachel Ferry; I’m the new Practice Manager at
RevolutionEYES. I’m bringing with me management experience from two surgeons, as well as
another great optometrist in Fishers. Dr. Ciano and the whole RevolutionEYES team are ready
to take the business to the next level, and I’m thrilled to help.
The first time that I visited RevolutionEYES, I knew that I wanted to work there. Their strong
commitment to customer service and patient care impressed me immediately. I am excited to
be a part of a team that focuses on their patients – who care about their patients – who exceed
in customer service.
A little personal background: I’m a native Hoosier, growing up in Central Indiana. After a few
years living in Florida and most recently Chicago, my husband and I moved back Carmel, and
this IS our permanent home. We are blessed to be able to raise our children, now ages 12 and
9, in a town much like what we both grew up in – providing them opportunities for success in
their own lives, while nurturing their souls to be good people of our world.
Working with Dr. Ciano, Dr. Schuetz, and the rest of the RevolutionEYES team has already been
a privilege, and I know that in the future, we’ll continue to improve our customer service and
patient care to even higher levels.

Tom Ford is coming to Indy!
In case you haven’t heard, RevolutionEYES will soon be carrying the Tom Ford line of sunglasses. These glamorous shades can be seen on celebrities like Brad Pitt and Mariah Carey. Ford was recently named one of the 100 Most Creative People by Fast Company magazine. You can read all about his clothing line, sunglasses, and even his recent film debut here.
Myopia affects America 2
A recent study by The National Eye Institute has determined there is a dramatic increase in cases of myopia or nearsightedness. With more than 40% of the population affected, myopia has grown to epidemic proportions.
While the study does not directly identify specific causes, experts seem to agree that more time spent indoors, without natural light, and an increase in “near work” texting, video games, computer work, all play a role.
While there is no cure, experts recommend annual eye exams to maintain your eye health is critical.
